It was found that 25 students from IUB were given laptops without merit, as CM moto was:
"Merit, Merit & only Merit"

Following were forced to resign:

1. Dr. Shahid Naveed (Chairman CS & IT Dept)
2. Dr. Naveed Akhtar (Principal Convention Medicine)
3. Dr. Muhammad AKhtar (Chairman Education Dept)  

Inquiry committee was lead by:
Dr. Sheikh Aftab Ahmad (Dean Science Dept)
